I was on digg.com just now and found this gem. Have you every been in the middle of a crucial project that you can neither stop nor pause, and Windows XP starts bugging you to restart … EVERY 10 minutes? Or worse, have you left your computer to use the bathroom or something and found it restarted when you got back? All that work lost. Aiiiieeee!

 

This blog entry shows you how to configure the re-prompt settings to something that is far less bothersome.

My boyfriend, Peter, does a lot of computer repair and he’s always coming across the blank, or more vexing, the annoyed stare of computer users who expect him to reinstall their programs using psychic energy or something. Apparently they didn’t realize that they are supposed to keep their installers programs/discs/serial numbers in a safe place.
