Color to BW Written by Catherine F. Laine    Saturday, 03 June 2006 A common task in Photoshop is turning a color photo to BW. There are many ways to accomplish this task. You may be tempted to simply desaturate the color image (Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate), but the most common result will be muddy looking pictures with no sense of drama.
